No. Although it has “chlorine” in its name, this solution has a different chemistry. This solution is much safer and gentler than bleach and many other antiseptics and antimicrobials, plus it remains effective under organic load. Furthermore, this solution is much more eco-friendly as it breaks down to a simple salt, producing no harmful by-products; whereas chlorine bleach produces harmful by-products to the environment including: trihalomethanes (THM) and haloacetic acids (HAAS).

In some cases, yes, but this depends on how dirty the surface is. The dirtier the surface, the less effective the disinfectant is. Disinfectants need to contact the area to disinfect and cannot do this effectively with a barrier of dirt or grime in the way. Once the dirt has been wiped away, the disinfectant can get to work. Under lightly soiled conditions, you can clean and disinfect in the same step with just Vital Oxide. (NOTE: EPA requires all disinfectants carry the following label direction: “For heavily soiled areas, a pre-cleaning step is required.”).

A food-contact sanitizer, at minimum, reduces the level of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli by 99.999% on a food contact surface within one minute. A potable water rinse is not allowed after sanitation of a food contact surface.
It is a safety rating given by NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) International. The NSF testing guidelines are a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program, including the FD 1. In some cases, Vital Oxide can discolour certain fabrics. It is recommended to always test for colour fastness a small, inconspicuous spot before treating the entire article. In one instance, there was a report of a child’s clothing being discoloured after sitting in a school bus seat that was sprayed with Vital Oxide. In this case, the seats were not completely dry before being occupied. In the process of multiple applications in a short period of time a buildup of Vital Oxide can also contribute to discolouration, especially if the seats were previously treated with bleach. This is easily address by a spray and wipe step to remove buildup of product.

It depends on the chemical being used. If you use our disinfectant, Vital Oxide, then no wiping or rinsing is required after application.
Adjusting the nozzle allows you to control the size of the droplets being sprayed. This can be beneficial for use with different solutions, different surfaces, and when there are different dwell times.
It depends on the fogger you are using. One of our smaller foggers, the Minion, has an optimum range of 5-10 feet; whereas one of our larger foggers, the Terminator, has an optimum range of 35-45 feet. It is recommended to clean the foggers each time you change the solution being used inside of the unit. Simply spray warm water through the fogger for approximately 20 seconds to rinse out the line of any leftover chemicals that may start to build up. It is also recommended to clean the foggers if you notice the device is not performing optimally, such as the nozzle being plugged. In this case, remove the nozzle, soak in hot, soapy water for 10 minutes, then blow out the nozzle with compressed air.
